Grasmere to Ambleside via Chapel Stile and Elterwater, nine miles of lovelyness...

Beautiful day on Sunday, took the route in the title from Grasmere up thru Dale End, Redbank Wood and Hammerscar Plantation, then the more dangerous route along the road from Walthwaite Bottom into Chapel Stile, to grab a couple of shots of the lovely clear waters of Great Langdale Beck. Then picked up the trail at the Britannia Inn back to Ambleside via Skelwith, nine miles in total, freezing but totally worth it...
